Working furiously, I painted these. You can tell I'm enjoying this. Of the eight I painted that session; the ninth was scrapped (actually I'll just re-paint over the back of it) these are the two which I feel aren't just sketches but have presence as individual pieces in their own right.

I agree. It's been wonderful watching you take this journey, from the first sketches and studies to these pieces that are very moving and involving.
Where now? More ink-and-wet-paper nudes, or something else?
This is definitely a medium that seems to suit you and your command of it seems, to me, to be reaching great heights. I love the flowing and moving effect of the colour as it splits, and the intrinsic movement of the form only heightens the motion. (God, but that lot sounds arty-farty. I don't know where it came from but please try to sort it out. I does, in a strange way, say what I'm trying to say). Please do more in this medium. I'm sure there's even better to come.
Thanks, both of you,for the feedback. I don't know if I want to work bigger, but I want to use coloured inks soon. I think I understand the light & shade aspect, and I'm happy with my compositions on the page. Time to take it a step further I think.
I can only repeat what your Mum used to say every time we passed the 'diving Madonna': "Go for it, girl !"
These are fabulous! You are a wonderful artist and this is your medium. I've got to link you to my site to make sure I can keep finding my way back.
Thanks Lisa, and for anyone reading, have a look at Lisa's site. I['ll be adding her link shortly.
