Sit Still!!!!

I love TV. It's a great way to get friends & family to sit still when I'm drawing them.

I read an article once about how photo albums don't reflect reality. If an archaeologist from the future only had photo albums to go on they'd think we spent most of our time on holiday, at birthday parties and weddings, and that it was Christmas once a month. Also that children were always clean and happy. We don't take photos of children watching TV, eating dinner, looking dirty or crying.

I think it's interesting that you sketched the kids watching TV because that's when they're still. You probably wouldn't take photos of them doing that though. And you probably wouldn't sketch them blowing out the candles on their birthday cake.

Which reminds me - what shall I get Becca for her birthday?

I love these sketches, Steph. They are full of life. The lower one, of TJ, while loose and flowing, shows clearly the tension across his back and neck as he strains to look up at the screen.

The last sketch is very nicely done. I am impressed.
