These were done using a variety of charcoal sticks.

These are great, Steph! Love the lines and marks - I had been reading around quite a bit on some other artist's drawings - tree drawings and others, and I'm keen to do some more myself before the leaves are all out.
I also like your idea about printing: one of the first posts I read of yours was of a linocut of a busstop. I've just signed up to a printmaking course with the Open College of All Arts, the materials haven't come through yet, but I'm quite excited: printmaking on my kitchen counter sound like just the right kind of experimentation for me...

Hi, 'Oaks' are beautifully worked, the detail and texture are good. Clare.
PS: I received this message below from Lor Lor. I might be interested if we had more people in our Xchange, what do you think?

Clare
I was wondering if you would be interesred in taking part in a moleskine exchange with me and another lady, her blog is called A Roker Artist. You can check out the moleskine exchange website. If you look at the EDM superblog you will find a link to it in Andrea Josephs blog. Regards LorLor

Gesa, when I get home from visiting my sister I'll be gouging the lino and printing. I got some great books out of the library on printmaking, and I'm keen to get stuck in. We have a roll of lining paper left over from decorating here so I'd like to do some really big oak studies before I leave.
Clare, thanks for the comment. With you there'd be three people in the exchange. I'd love it if we could get 5 people in all. Do you know of anyone you'd like to invite? Gesa, would you like to join in?
