A second outlet has been found for my sunflowers. so that's all seven of them up for sale. A huge thank you to my sister Mel who's been doing lots of running around getting my work accepted and mounted ready for sale.

I think you've caught the rose very well. Love the loose feel, and that is rare to see in flower drawings, which are usually too tight.
Bravo!
Thanks Casey. I was worried when I started these that they'd end up tight and detailed and fussey. But then I relax, and at by the end of each painting I'm no longer looking at the rose but am caught up in the sweeping pastel and the layers and layers of light that are coming through.
I used the same steps as I did with the sunflowers, and yet they've come out so different. Dare I think I'm coming up with a viable and consistant method of painting with pastels?
I love them. The middle one is my favourite. We've all seen roses painted and drawn a million times, but you have found something new to say about them. Great work.
As Mel says!!
Thank you very much Mel and Dad.
